digital worlds
Cyanotype Sun
Made in Unreal Engine, this work was made in Unreal Engine 5.8, Blender and combines the traditional photography practice of cyanotypes with digital animation.
There cyanotypes were made in Grand-Metis, QC during a fellowship with the Canadian Centre for Architecture when researching shoreline erosion. These species were document along the Mitis river, as it opens into the St. Lawrence River and the drastic erosion happening at the mouth of the river.
Historical Architecture into Digital Representations
In Red River Métis culture, we are known for Red River joinery construction. This silo is owned by family, and was built in 1943. My relative Joseph Curé co-built this. Seeing examples outside of the traditional log home has sparked interest in me, and so I wanted to base a building in unreal engine off of this work. I used 4 different log assets to full construct the digital version, and made it into a fantasy home.
